The platform

An entire event platform, in one browser tab.

Chromabooth-Pro is the booth on the floor and the command center above it — captures, AI, kiosk fleet, billing, branding, analytics, all wired together. Here's the full stack.

Capture & camera

Plug in. Frame it. Shoot it.

  • Plug any camera, any way

On a tablet, use the built-in front camera or a plug-and-play UVC webcam (Logitech MX Brio, Insta360 Link 2). On a Mac or Windows laptop, you can step up to a Sony / Canon / Nikon mirrorless via an Elgato Cam Link 4K HDMI capture, or pull in a wireless IP / WebRTC feed over Wi-Fi. Switch sources from the operator panel, pick the exact device, and hot-swap mid-event without restarting. See our hardware guide for ranked picks.

  • Adaptable framing & stage crop

Per-mode stage frame editor with draggable corner handles. Save distinct crops for solo portrait (vertical 9:16) and group wide (full landscape) — the booth auto-switches based on guest selection so every shot is perfectly composed.

  • Format-aware composition

Each capture format (single, strip, boomerang, video) renders to its native aspect with safe-area padding, wordmark placement, and date footer. No squashed faces, no cropped logos.

  • Four capture formats

Single photo, vertical photo strip with wordmark, GIF boomerang, and Magic Moment cinematic video clip. Operators pick which are enabled.

  • Solo & group modes

Single portrait, two-person duo, or full group framing. The wizard adjusts countdown, framing, and prompts to match.

AI & visual effects

Real-time intelligence, post-capture magic.

  • AI superpowers & tags

Lasers from the eyes, fire trails, neon halos, sticker name-tags. Each guest gets one — never stacked, never repeated on the same shot.

  • AI Restyle (post-capture)

Turn the keepsake into a Marvel-style hero, Pixar character, anime portrait, cyberpunk neon-noir, Renaissance painting, or watercolor — one tap, before/after toggle, downloadable PNG.

  • 3D AR stickers

Crown, halo, top hat, devil horns, sci-fi helmet, aviators, party hat — rendered as PBR-shaded 3D meshes that anchor to the face transform and respond to scene lighting.

  • FX pack — filters & particles

Color filters (B&W, sepia, neon-noir, film), procedural particle effects (sparkles, confetti, fire trails, electric arcs, frost, light leaks), and depth-aware bokeh — all GPU-accelerated, all opt-in per event.

  • 4× AI upscale

Pro and Enterprise tiers can upscale any capture to 4× resolution with a single tap — perfect for sponsors who want a print-quality keepsake from a tablet shot.

  • Anti-cheat AI gateway

Every AI call (restyle, upscale, gateway models) is gated by a server-verified kiosk credential — license key + bound device id — and metered against per-license quotas. No leaked API keys, no surprise bills.

Stage & cinema

A studio-grade look on a tablet.

  • Green-screen calibration

Sample the actual green of your physical backdrop with one tap — the keyer locks onto your lighting, your fabric, your venue. Works on standard chroma cloth or any clean colored wall.

  • Cinematic stage

Auto rim-light samples background colors and edges the subject in a subtle glow. Soft vignette adapts to venue brightness. Animated MP4 backgrounds with parallax drift — all tunable from the Cinema tab.

  • Bring your own backgrounds

Upload stills or MP4 loops directly from the operator panel. Bundled starter pack ships with cinematic loops out of the box.

  • Custom-branded backdrops

Optional service: we design bespoke backgrounds with your logo, sponsor lock-ups, or seasonal variants. Animated or still.

  • Performance auto-tuning

Detects WebGPU, WebGL2, CPU cores, and device memory to pick Low / Medium / High quality automatically — so a $300 tablet runs smooth and a high-end gaming laptop or M-series Mac unleashes full cinema effects, 4K capture, and GPU shaders. Operators can lock a tier from the Performance tab to fit any venue.

  • Operator panel — full control

Tabbed settings sheet for Camera (source + device picker, live test), Green-screen calibration (sample your real backdrop), Theme (7 palettes), Layout (landscape or portrait orientation for any tablet), Performance (quality tier), Cinema (rim, vignette, parallax sliders), and Security. Every venue tuned in minutes.

Guest experience

Zero friction, zero forms.

  • Instant QR download

On-canvas QR code appears the moment the capture is ready. Guests scan, download, share. No email collection, no friction.

  • Event archive & public gallery

Pro/Enterprise events stream to encrypted cloud storage. Each event gets a signed share-link gallery URL guests can scan from the venue exit, with no email collection required.

  • Showcase opt-in

Operators can opt selected captures into the curated Chromabooth-Pro showcase reel — guest consent first, brand-safe always. Founders moderate the published feed.

  • Multilingual UI

Marketing site in 9 languages (EN, FR, ES, DE, IT, PT, NL, JA, ZH). Booth UI fully localized in English and French. Language toggles per device.

  • Install as a PWA

Pin the booth to the iPad / tablet / Surface home screen and it launches standalone, fullscreen, with offline-aware caching. No app-store review, no MDM gymnastics.

  • Zero staff, zero setup

Plug in, point the camera, walk away. Wake-lock keeps the screen on all night. The wizard guides every guest through the flow.

Reliability & security

Hardened for an event night, not a demo.

  • PIN-locked kiosk mode

Operator panel hidden behind a configurable PIN. Guests can't wander into settings, swap cameras, or exit kiosk. Auto-reset between guests keeps the wizard fresh.

  • Security & connectivity

Network status indicator, encrypted submissions, no guest data stored on device. Captures live in-browser only — share via QR and they're gone when the session ends.

  • Strict CSP & no-eval bundle

Production bundles ship with a strict Content Security Policy, an allowlist of trusted origins, no inline scripts, no eval. Pen-test friendly out of the box.

  • Kiosk heartbeat & telemetry

Every kiosk pings home with its build SHA, app version, last-seen timestamp, and tier. The portal flags stale builds, offline kiosks, and version drift across the fleet automatically.

  • Auto-updates

The booth auto-updates so it's always ready before your event — no manual downloads, no version mismatches on the day.

Operator portal

Built for the people running the show.

Behind every booth there's an operator. The portal is your command center — license keys, kiosks, events, branding, all in one signed-in dashboard.

  • Operator dashboard

One screen with active licenses, kiosks online right now, and recent activity. See at a glance whether tonight's event is live without leaving your laptop.

  • License key management

Issue, copy, and hand out license keys. Each key binds to a kiosk on activation, starts its tier countdown, and shows expiry status with colour-coded urgency.

  • Live kiosk fleet

See every registered kiosk with online/idle/offline status dots, last-seen timestamps, and the build version each one is running. Rename, remove, or drill in with one click.

  • Event session history

Per-kiosk drill-down: every event captured, photo counts, duration, operator email, and a direct link to the public gallery share so guests can grab their shots.

  • Usage analytics

30-day rolling stats per kiosk — sessions, photos captured, daily sparkline, photos-per-event averages. Know which venues drive volume and which need attention.

  • Team & roles

Invite owners, admins, and members to your organization. Owners and admins manage licenses and branding; members get read-only visibility. Role changes apply instantly.

  • Org & per-license branding

Set organization-wide colors, welcome text, logo, and watermark — then override any of them per license for white-label events. Kiosks pick up changes on next sync.

  • Content pack distribution

Curate background, sticker, and overlay packs in the admin, push them to the right organizations, and kiosks pull them down with cover thumbnails on next sync.

  • Build version tracking

Every kiosk reports its build SHA on heartbeat. The portal compares against the latest deployed version and surfaces a banner the moment a kiosk falls behind.

  • Install to home screen

The portal itself is a PWA — pin it to your laptop dock or tablet home screen and it opens standalone, fullscreen, no browser chrome. One-tap launch before doors open.

  • License expiry banners

Color-coded urgency banners surface 30, 14, 7, and 1 day before any license lapses, so renewals never sneak up the morning of an event.

  • Self-serve Stripe billing portal

One click from the portal opens the Stripe-hosted billing center — change card, download invoices, update tax info, cancel or reactivate. No support ticket required.

  • Event archive with cloud sync

Pro and Enterprise events sync to encrypted cloud storage as they're captured. Browse past events, get a signed share-link gallery URL, and selectively opt photos into the public showcase.

  • Lifecycle email automation

License activation, expiry warnings, payment receipts, and post-event follow-ups all send automatically. Deliverability dashboard tracks bounces and opens per organization.

  • Referral program with auto-credit ledger

Every organization gets a unique CBP-XXXXXXXX code on day one. Share via URL or code entry, watch your ledger fill up with awarded, pending, and available credit — refunds reverse credit automatically.

Enterprise platform

Multi-org, multi-venue, fleet-grade.

Agencies and venue groups don't run one booth — they run dozens, across brands, across cities. The platform layer underneath the operator portal is built for exactly that.

  • Multi-tenant organizations

Every license, kiosk, event, and team member is scoped to an organization. One operator can belong to many orgs (agencies running events for multiple clients), with role-based access enforced at the database row level.

  • Per-organization content packs

Push curated background, sticker, and FX packs to specific organizations only. White-label clients see their assets; siblings don't see each other's libraries.

  • Curated showcase pipeline

Operators submit standout captures with guest consent; founders moderate, approve, and publish to the marketing showcase. A real content pipeline, not a screenshot folder.

  • Fleet-wide release tracking

See every kiosk's deployed build SHA against the latest production release, sorted by drift. Roll out new versions confident no venue is stuck on a stale build.

  • Cross-fleet analytics rollup

Sessions, photos captured, and AI usage rolled up across every organization — so platform owners can see total platform throughput, not just one venue's stats.

  • Stripe webhook replay

If a payments webhook ever drops, replay it in one click and re-trigger license provisioning. No customer ever waits on a stuck purchase.

  • Email deliverability monitoring

Per-organization bounce, complaint, and open-rate tracking on every transactional and lifecycle email. Spot deliverability issues before customers do.

Built on real infrastructure

Not a weekend hack. A production stack.

Underneath the polish: Stripe-managed billing, queued lifecycle emails, signed cloud archives, row-level Postgres security, and a Worker-edge runtime that scales without ops.

  • Stripe-managed checkout

Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Klarna, and other regional methods — all handled by Stripe's hosted checkout. PCI scope stays at zero, payment surface stays at one.

  • Automated license provisioning

On every successful purchase, a signed Stripe webhook provisions the license, sends the activation email, and unlocks the tier — no manual handoffs, no founder-in-the-loop.

  • Queued lifecycle email pipeline

Activation, expiry warnings, receipts, and post-event follow-ups land in a durable queue and get processed by a cron worker, with retries on transient failures.

  • Self-serve subscription portal

Customers manage their own card, invoices, plan changes, cancellations, and reactivations through Stripe's hosted billing portal — opened with a one-click signed link from the operator portal.

  • Row-level security on every table

Postgres RLS enforces tenant isolation at the database. A signed-in user only ever sees rows belonging to organizations they're a member of — verified independently by every server function.

  • Policy-driven refunds

EU 14-day cooling-off, event 7-day full refund, 50% inside seven days, Pro 50% inside 14 days for new subscribers — encoded in policy, surfaced in the UI, applied consistently.
